    After reading this article in the Mirror and learning about Reform UK’s actions, I decided to donate to the Feed a Child This Summer campaign, even though I live hundreds of miles away.

    This situation feels like an echo of the past and the days of “Thatcher, the milk snatcher”. It seems the one lesson we repeatedly learn from history is that we have not learned from history at all.

    Well done, Barry Ashley. You have my support and my donation. Thank you also to the Mirror for bringing this campaign to my attention. No child should go hungry during the school holidays. Please share this site on social media like Facebook and LinkedIn so more money can be raised in this way.

    I have made a donation. It breaks my heart that any council would choose to take away food from children during the school holidays. They clearly have no idea of what it feels like to be starving as a child. I can tell them, it’s awful!
    In 2026, no child should be going hungry. It is a disgrace to this country. No adult who willingly deprives children of food should be in power. Thank you for all you are doing to support children to stay healthy and well during the holidays.

    Sometimes the meals that school offers are the only food a child will get to eat in a day. Taking that away is absolutely disgraceful.     Dont live in the area but after seeing the lengths this business are going to, to ensure children in poverty can at least get a nutricious breakfast or lunch then i simply had to donate and take part.     I saw Simon Harris’s post on FB about your response to your reform councillor’s threat to call the police on you. He told us all NOT to donate, DON’T share, DON’T comment or like his post. So I did exactly what he said and didn’t just send 30 quid to your fundraiser.
